SELECT is the trade association for the electrical contracting industry in Scotland.

The membership criteria for SELECT are deliberately rigorous for two reasons – to reflect the high standards and quality of work performed by each Member, and also to maintain the reputation of the industry in Scotland. 

The Approved Certifier of Construction Scheme allows qualified SELECT Members to sign off electrical work that is subject to a building warrant.

Certification is based on the principle that suitably qualified and experienced building professionals and tradesmen accept responsibility for ensuring compliance with building regulations without the need for detailed scrutiny of design or inspections by verifiers.
